About the event

Yoga Festival in Engel’s Tuin

On Saturday, September 13, Theehuis Engel's Tuin, a beautiful group of local teachers and Binnencirkel Ootmarsum warmly invite you to a special one-day mini-festival in the green surroundings of Engels’ Tuin park.

This day is dedicated to movement, mindfulness, and connection. Ancient traditions such as Yoga and Qigong, meditation and breathwork, sound, dance, and healing touch come together – with space for rest, depth, and renewed energy.

What to expect

  • Yoga workshops in various forms: Yin, Hatha, Kundalini, yoga dance, and more

  • Chi Neng Qigong

  • Guided meditations and breathwork

  • Mantras, music, gongs, and sound experiences

  • Gong Fu Cha tea tasting

  • Wild foraging walks

  • Yoga for children

  • Spaces to rest, reflect, and simply be

There will also be activities for everyone to enjoy, such as a musical closing at the end of the day, small market stalls with products, and perhaps a few other surprises.

Practical information

Participation in the festival is on a “pay what you can” basis: €30, €35, or €40 – depending on your budget and what you feel able to contribute. This way, everyone can take part, and those who are able to give a little extra help make the festival possible.

In case of cancellation due to bad weather, €5 of the ticket price will be retained as a contribution towards organisational and administrative costs. By purchasing your ticket, you help us share in the risks of organising such an event – and we are truly grateful for that.

A ticket gives you access to all activities and workshops throughout the day. Upon arrival, you can sign up for the sessions you wish to attend. The number of places per workshop is limited, so early registration on the day is recommended.

When creating the schedule, we will ensure that each guest has a choice of different sessions and the opportunity to enjoy multiple activities.

For 1-on-1 sessions, you can sign up in advance; payment for these is separate from your ticket and made directly to the practitioner.

The festival takes place in a public park, so visitors are free to enjoy both the unique atmosphere of Engels’ Tuin and the special festival vibe throughout the day.

Food & drinks

As the on-site catering point, Theehuis Engel’s Tuin will also provide meals during the festival. There will be a choice of lunch and dinner, both with an Indian touch.

  • Lunch: a light Thali-style meal

  • Dinner: Curry (one or two options)

Lunch and dinner are Chef’s Choice, and we recommend reserving in advance (lunch, dinner, or both), which is possible at the moment through the 'contact form' bellow. Drinks and desserts will be available à la carte.

Please note that seating on the terrace and inside is limited. Meals may also be enjoyed on the park benches or simply sitting on the grass. You are of course free to bring a foldable chair.

Program & contact

The full program and timetable will be announced soon. Then there will also be more information concerning the content of the sessions and regarding the teachers that are involved. If you have already purchased a ticket, you will also receive the programme by email as soon as it is available.

If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to contact us via the website.
