Storytelling met Satya – in Engel’s Tuin

Something rather curious is about to happen on Saturday 6 December in Engel’s Tuin.

Not something ordinary, mind you — but something filled with whispering words and invisible stardust.

Our friend Satya, a true master storyteller, is travelling all the way from Dordrecht to share his treasure chest of tales: wise, mysterious, and full of hidden clues for those who truly listen.

☀️ For children – in the teahouse

At two o’clock sharp, when the tea begins to steam and the chairs seem to listen, children gather for a journey that requires no suitcase.

Satya whisks them through forests of imagination and over mountains of wonder, until their eyes sparkle like stars.

Afterwards there’s fruity tea or juice, a small piece of cake and a cookie — perhaps even a soft little gingerbread that melts away in a single bite.

For children aged 5 to 12 — and for those who, every now and then, still feel wonderfully like children at heart.

When night begins to tiptoe in and the candles wink, the warm terrace of Engel’s Tuin fills with words that seem to linger in the air.

There, Satya shares stories that breathe deeply — of courage, love, loss, and wonder. They glide quietly into your heart and keep glowing there.

And as the stories gently fade into the night, we linger a little longer with a spiced glühwein or a winter tea cocktail, perhaps carrying a hint of a secret within.
